Happy New Year!  No Resolutions Required

For the past several days, I’ve been inundated with promotional emails telling me how to get the new year off to a good start: lose weight, exercise, get better sleep, clear out my closet, increase my credit rating. (And, since I live in California, I can’t even drive to the grocery store without passing a billboard promising that recreational weed will help me achieve all of the above. Frankly, I don’t think it can help with my credit score.) 

At the risk of stating the obvious, aren’t these changes just as beneficial to my health and well-being if I do them in July, or November? Why do we relentlessly focus on January 1 as a unique opportunity to improve ourselves? One word: MARKETING. It’s a word no one likes very much, even those of us who make a living at it, because there’s an implied accusation of dishonesty. So let me propose that we scrap the New Year’s resolutions and just commit to making sound decisions in all seasons. Who’s with me?New-Years-Resolution.png

If you manage a wireless network, you probably deal with at least one of these issues: unacceptable downtime, too many complaints from WiFi users, limited visibility into network analytics, failing hardware, fear of security threats, and buggy software releases. Oh, and you’re probably paying too much, since your wireless vendor has you locked in. What a treat! I bet you spend each day smiling constantly and humming the “Everything is Awesome” song from the Lego Movie.

There is a better way to WiFi. Mojo. It works. Since I’ve already reduced my credibility by admitting to my Marketing title, I’ll cut the fluff and just tell you what some Mojo customers say.
